Stop Motion Video

Upper Elementary students will use iPads and the Lego Movie, stop motion app, to create an animation with pattern blocks.  Students will be learning symmetry, patterns, working with a partner, along with gaining technology skills.  Students will also learn how to add their creation to their Edmodo accounts.

1.  Show this example:

2.  Divide the students into pairs.  They will work as a team to produce a pattern block animation.

3.  Students will log in to their Edmodo accounts and place the video in their digital backpacks.

Thanksgiving Lesson

Students will listen to the story, 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving.

They will learn how to draw a turkey. 

Use ipad to take photos of turkeys drawn by students. 

Use the Morpho app to make turkeys tell what they are thankful for.
