The Dot," Sept. 15

September 15 is International Dot Day.  I am planning to have students listen to the book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds.

Ideas for class activities:

~Make a dot by not making a dot. Tape a circle to a larger paper. Paint dots with a q tip. 

~Students will create a crayon relief watercolor dot.  They will glue the dot to the Colar Mix Dot page.   Download And Print this PDF .  All pages will be assembled in a three ring binder. Students will then use the ColarMix app to view an augmented reality of the dot coming to life!  The binders will remain in the art room with an ipad as a station for students to do when they finish work early throughout the year.
