Drawing Games/Activities

Kindergarten

Monster Drawing Game

1.  Read the story, "Monster Mischief."

2.  Play the drawing game, "Roll a Monster."

Have students roll a dice and use a chart to draw monsters. Have students trace with marker and color with crayon.

Angry Birds Drawing Game, "Roll a Bird."

1.  Do lesson on how to draw a tree and have students draw a tree with bare branches.
2.  Have students do the Roll a Bird game to add birds to their tree using colored pencils.

Roll a Wild Flower Drawing Game

1.  Have students play the Roll a Wild Flower Drawing Game.  Have students draw the flowers either with only black crayon or with oil pastels.

Texture Pumpkins

Students will learn about the element of texture.
Grade level:  K-2nd Grade

1.  Watch a video clip of Sid the Science Kid and Texture.
2.  Learn how to draw overlapping pumpkins. Sketch first with pencil.
3.  Trace with black marker.
4.  Use the texture plates to add texture to each section of the pumpkin and to the background.
